Jotlift

Delete your account and data

Effective date: 6 July 2026

This page explains how to delete your Jotlift account and the data we store, and what happens when you do. Jotlift is operated by Issa Zangana (ABN 55 482 265 411), trading as Jotlift.

Two ways to delete your account

In the app. Open Settings, go to your account, and choose Delete account. Confirm when asked. This is the quickest way.

By email. If you cannot use the app, email us at jotliftapp@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We may need to confirm it is your account before we act.

What deletion removes

When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

What you keep

Deleting your account does not wipe your phone. The copy of your data on your device stays, so you can keep using Jotlift as a local notebook, or export it first. If you want to remove the local copy too, delete the app or clear its data on your device.

About your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play, so if you have Jotlift Pro, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you do not cancel, billing continues even after the account is deleted.

About usage analytics

If you turned on usage analytics, deleting your account does not remove past usage events, because they are not linked to you. When you opt out or delete your account, collection stops and anything still queued on your device is deleted. Usage events already sent are kept only in de-identified, aggregate form, are not tied to your identity, and cannot be traced back to an individual, so they cannot be removed one person at a time.

How long it takes

In-app deletion happens straight away. Email requests are actioned within a reasonable time, usually within a few days.
